Allington’s Parish Council has seven Councillors and a Parish Clerk. The Councillors are keen to serve the needs of all residents in the village. They are always pleased to hear ideas, concerns or suggestions about anything that would benefit the village.
The Council meets on the second Wednesday in the months of January, March, May, July, September and November. Meetings are usually held at the Village Hall, Side Street, Allington, NG32 2DZ. Note: meetings may be conducted over Zoom online video conferencing due to coronavirus.
Meetings start at 19.30hrs. Each meeting is preceded by a 15 minute public forum, commencing at 19.15hrs, during which members of the public may ask questions of the Council or make a short statement to the Council in relation to matters on the agenda. Once the meeting formally commences, members of the public are most welcome to remain but may not participate unless invited to do so by the Chair.
The agenda for each meeting will be posted on the Parish Council notice board and on this website during the week prior to the meeting. Paper copies of the Council meeting minutes, once approved, are placed on the notice board on the village green. Minutes of Council meetings are also published on this website.
