1. WELCOME REMARKS BY THE CHAIRMAN

      1.1 Cllr Plummer welcomed everyone to the meeting.

 

2. APOLOGIES: TO RECEIVE APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND REASON

      2.1 Apologies from Cllr Scott – on holiday

3. DECLARATIONS OF PECUNIARY INTEREST IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LOCALISM ACT 2011    

3.1 No declarations of Members interest in relation to agenda items.

4. APPROVAL OF MINUTES                                                                                                  
4.1 The minutes of the Annual Parish Council meeting 26 May 2021 were agreed and signed by the Chairman.

6. CORRESPONDENCE

Gallifordfry update on the A1 new bridge just before Great Ponton.

HSBC information that Grantham Branch will no longer have a counter facility.

 

7. FINANCE
7.1 Income was noted since 26 May 2021 to date as outlined in the respective financial reports.
7.2 It was resolved to approve the since 26 May 2021 to date expenditure as outlined in the respective finance reports.
7.3 The Quarterly Accounts were approved and signed by the Chairman

 

8. VILLAGE CROSS

8.1 The total raised so far is £13,878.
8.2 Estimates are now being sourced for the repair of the village cross.  We are awaiting a response from English Heritage as to the possible assistance to repair the cross as it is a Grade II listed monument.  Also, for a list of approved stone masons.
8.3 A pre-war Austin rally is terminating on the village green on Sunday 25 July.Cllr Mouldand Cllr Sharpe to attend and assist with parking and a collection bucket in aid of the Village Cross.

 

 

9. QUEENS JUBILEE

9.1 Next year will be the Queens Jubilee and there are plans for a national lighting of Beacons.Also, a number of events are to be organised in celebration. It was unanimously agreed that Cllr Scott would lead this event.

 

10. BEST KEPT VILLAGE

      10.1The village has automatically been re-entered for the competition. Councillors to try  and ensure all areas are well maintained.

 

11. FUTURE INTERNET CONNECTION

      11.1 A communication was received regarding future high-speed internet.

              Cllr Goodall has responded to the people to show interest re being connected to the high speed and as to what the costs might be.

 

12. PLAYING FIELD

12.1 Discussions were held about drawing up a plan and costs for the hire of the playing field for future events by both villagers and others from outside of the village.  This would enable the Clerk to give clear answers when she received queries.

12.2 The future use of the Storage facility and possible hire was also discussed.  The need to fit a sink and units in the kitchen area and the possibility of changing the internal  layout to make it more usable for events. 

12.3 There has been interest from a mobile café wanting to hire the area for next summer.

12.4  It was agreed that the CCTV could do with updating at the playing field.  A camera is  to be installed overlooking the doors into the storage facility to help prevent the continued break-in attempts.

12.5   Costings to replace damaged panels to the MUGA are being sought along with possible new goal nets.

12.6   Cllr Scott has agreed to spray weed and moss killer around the outside of the MUGA to help maintain the area.         

 

13. SOLAR FARMS

   13.1 Another Solar farm planning application has gone in on Marston parish just the other side of the A1.  It was decided that it would have no impact on Allington.

 

14. LINCOLNSHIRE POLICE

    14.1 There is now a Community Beat Constable to work with neighbourhood policing. The clerk is to find a contact point for direct contact if possible and to invite to a future meeting and possibly the Annual Parish meeting.
