- ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN & DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
Cllr Plummer received nominations to continue to be the Chairman. After a show of hands, Cllr Plummer was elected unanimously to act as Chairman for the forthcoming year.
- ELECTION OF VICE-CHAIRMAN & DECLARATION OF ACCEPTANCE OF OFFICE
Cllr Sharpe received nominations to continue to be the Vice-Chairman. After a show of hand Cllr Sharpe was unanimously elected to continue as Vice-Chairman for the forthcoming year.
- WELCOME REMARKS BY THE CHAIRMAN
The Chairman welcomed everyone to the meeting and thanked all the Councillors for all their hard work over the past 12 months, saying that a good team had been formed who like to get things done.
The Chairman explained that due to Covid-19 and that this was the first meeting face to face since the start of the pandemic, the agenda had been kept as short as possible. Hopefully with the lifting of further restrictions the July meeting will be back to normal.
The Village Cross restoration will continue to be the main priority for 2021/22 with a major effort on fundraising and possible grants so that the restoration can begin as soon as possible.
District Cllr Whittington informed the Councillors that the white lines on the edges of Gonerby Lane were the first in the County and a pilot scheme to see if it would help stop traffic veering onto the verges and causing ruts and holes.

5.1 To receive declarations of Members interests in relation to agenda items.

5.2 To consider request for dispensations from Members.
5.2.2 None requested.
- APPROVAL OF MINUTES
6.1 It was resolved to accept the minutes of the Parish Council Meeting held on March 10th and duly signed by the Chairman
7. CO-OPTION FOR THE COUNCILLOR VACANCY
7.1 The Clerk had received one notice of interest from a parishioner to fill the vacancy after the retirement of Cllr Jackson who had served on the Council for 18 years as both Councillor and Chairman. All the Councillors would like to thank him for all his hard work and commitment over those years.
7.1.1 Mr Antony Scott was duly invited to the Council in his absence due to holiday commitments. All necessary paperwork will be signed on his return.
8. FINANCE
8.1 The budget for 2021/22 was discussed and agreed, it shows a shortfall in income from the precept to proposed outgoings. The RFO will update as per the budget to actual on a regular basis.
8.2 The Clerk reported on the income since the last meeting on 10 March as outlined in the respective Finance Report. The income was noted and agreed.
8.3 The expenditure since the last meeting on 10 March as outlined in the respective Finance Reports was agreed retrospectively by the Council.
8.4 The Annual Governance Statements were considered and agreed unanimously by the Parish Councillors for the year 2020/21. The Accounting statements were approved and signed by the Chairman for submission to the External Auditors
