I hereby give you notice that the next meeting of Allington Parish Council will be held at Allington Village Hall on Wednesday 12 July 2023 at 19:30.

All members of the Parish Council are summoned to attend for the purpose of considering and resolving upon the business to be transacted as set out hereunder.

Public Forum:  The Parish Council meeting will be preceded by a public forum commencing at 19:15 for which councillors are asked to be present.  Members of the public may ask questions or make short statements to the Council, District and County Councillors and the Police may also make reports.  Members of the public are welcome to stay for the meeting but may not participate unless invited to do so by the Chairman.

Website 

Website has been reset and documents changed to enable them to be read by all formats as per national agreement.

To agree to purchase additional time for the website maintenance contract. 

Additional work required to bring the website up to date – to agree to paying overtime if this goes over clerks’ normal hours.

6.   EMPLOYMENT PAY

To consider staff renumeration

Caretakers are currently on £11 per hour
Clerk currently on £13.83 per hour

7.   VILLAGE IN BLOOM

To discuss the new criteria for the Best Kept Village competition which is now ‘Floral Awards’ ie planters around the village particularly on The Green to prevent unauthorised parking and ingress of the verges.

8.   TREES

Queens Jubilee trees update – Cllr Lowes

Trees around the village The Green, Park Road, Community Wood trees - This is now with local contractor who will be applying for any permissions if they are any restrictions.  The work will take approximately 2 days and charged at a daily rate. 

9.   PLAYING FIELD

MUGA – Fencing -Update Cllr Plummer

MUGA – Refurb Cllr Marsh the deep clean of the MUGA has now taken place 

Car Park – Cllr Marsh Hopefully this will be done around August time.
