Allington wins Best Kept Village Competion 2020
BEST KEPT VILLAGE COMPETITION 2020
Friday 23 October, on behalf of the village, I had the privilege of being presented, by the District Council, with a cheque for £400 together with a “gold” waste bin as a first prize in the Best Kept Village competition, won jointly with Barrowby.
I’d like to congratulate all residents of Allington for contributing to this achievement; the waste bin will be delivered soon and installed in a prominent position in the village, probably replacing the bin by the shelter on the green.
