The village Market Cross, which dates back to the early middle ages, has been deteriorating for a number of years. The Parish Council are now launching an appeal for funds to pay for its desperately needed renovation which could, subject to survey, amount to £20,000. So far, the restoration fund stands at just £6,000. So, we really will need the help and support of everyone that cares about our village heritage.
