Applications now open for coronavirus Government business grants

On 31 October 2020, the Government announced new national restrictions which require certain businesses and venues to close - or restrict how they provide goods and services - from 5 November to 2 December 2020.

Government has since provided funding to South Kesteven District Council to deliver two grant schemes to support local businesses:

  • The Local Restrictions Support Grant (LRSG Closed) is to support rate paying businesses within the area that are forced to close in line with national restrictions

  • The Additional Restriction Grant (ARG) is to support businesses that will continue to be severely affected during the coming months. The Council will be developing the guidance for expenditure of this fund in response to local business priorities and support needs but, in the meantime, we're prioritising the use of some of this funding to support non-rate paying overnight accommodation businesses forced to close during the national restriction period

We're pleased to say that applications are now open for both the Local Restrictions Support Grant and the Additional Restriction Grant (for overnight accommodation providers only), and all the details can be found on our website, here: www.investsk.co.uk/businessgrants

We would urge you to read the guidance notes thoroughly and to check your eligibility before submitting an application, and please, do take a moment to make sure your supporting information is correct - any inaccuracies will delay your application being processed.

If your business is eligible for funding and all sections of the application form have been completed correctly, you’ll receive payment within 5 working days.

If you’re not eligible for grant funding but would like to discuss other finance options or more general business support, please get in touch with InvestSK so we can help you.

Best wishes,
